Our Story

We started making blended loose leaf tea in a small town in Indiana many years ago. That shop was a complete success making regular customers out of many of the locals, as well as the local markets and restaurants. However, life has a way of changing things when least expected and we moved out to Arizona and started another tea shop in Old Town Cottonwood, Tea Easy. Again, it was a great spot with wonderful locals that loved what we were offering, but a certain virus hit the US that shut down many small businesses across the country. We continued to sell online to make it through the rough patch and now we are back and more excited than ever to bring our passion to life!

We hope you enjoy our products and experience the love we put into all of it!

Julie Fernatt

Founder of Grand Canyon tea

"I’ve always dreamed of owning a tea shop. Ever since I was a little girl, I imagined a cozy space filled with the aroma of fresh herbs and spices, where people could gather and unwind over a perfect cup of tea. Growing up in Indiana, that dream felt distant, like something meant for someone else. But dreams have a way of calling you back.
Starting Grand Canyon Tea hasn’t been easy, but every challenge has been worth it. I spent months experimenting with different loose leaf combinations, sourcing the best ingredients, and building relationships with local suppliers. Now, my blends capture the essence of the Southwest — earthy, vibrant, and full of warmth.
From the floral notes of my desert chamomile to the bold, smoky black tea inspired by canyon sunsets, each sip is a reminder of why I started this journey.
Moving to Arizona wasn’t just about starting a business; it was about believing in myself. And now, every time I unlock the doors to my shop, I know I made the right choice."
